=== DOOMSDAY ===
SURVIVORS OF THE BLAST
Welcome to Doomsday: Survivors of the Blast, the ultimate on-chain survival game, native to Blast.
Set centuries in the future, players compete to establish Stations spread across the Omega Galaxy.
As this interstellar society grows in size and complexity, the activity begins to awaken an ancient,
destructive force called The Rectifier. Once awakened, The Rectifier lays waste to the galaxy with powerful
blasts until only one station remains. This station inherits the wealth of the previous epoc, and the Rectifier
returns to its slumber ready to begin the cycle again.
On-Chain Galaxy
Survivors of the Blast is fully on-chain. The locations and all properties of Stations are compactly stored
in the game's smart contracts, with all game calculations done by these smart contracts. All outcomes of the
game are determined by a combination of player behaviour and transparent, immutable, on-chain methods.
-- Expansion --
Mineable
Stations can only be created by mining, the same process used to create Bitcoin. Players compete by
mining to find the next Station location. As the number of Stations grows, they become more difficult to
mine. Players can mint up to 20 Stations at once.
Stations Grow
The Expansion is an interconnected society, where all Stations are the
beneficiaries of civilisation's growth. Every Station has a unique artwork, based on the token's hash
(a product of the mining process). The Station artwork grows to reflect the growth of the Station.
Accumulates ETH
As Stations grow, they accumulate ETH. The larger the Station illustration, the more ETH it generally
contains. Different Stations have different Primary Industries which dictates how quickly they accumulate
ETH. Stations with more advanced Industries accumulate ETH faster, but are rarer. The owner of a Station
can Abandon it to claim this ETH.
The Awakening
As civilisation grows across the Omega Galaxy, the Rectifier watches and waits. A timer counts down to when it
will Awaken, but every time a Station is founded, the timer extends.
When the timer reaches zero and the Rectifier Awakens, no more Stations can be founded.
Last-Minter Bonus Prize
The final Station minted before the Awakening receives a Bonus ETH Prize. The Bonus Prize grows as more
Stations are minted, and is collected by the final Station when it's Abandoned during the Wasting.
-- The Wasting --
Blasts
Every Station can be found on the Galactic Map. During the The Wasting, random Blasts
( Ion Blasts, Plasma Blasts, Dark Matter Blasts and Radiation Blasts) are calculated every 240 blocks (approx. 8 mins) using a
transparent, immutable, on-chain method, with Blasts rendered on the Galactic Map. A reward of 0.00001 ETH is
paid to anyone who confirms a Blast that affects a Station (intended to pay for any gas costs).
Station owners are given priority when confirming Blasts. Each Station is immune to one type of Blast.
ETH Prize
The owner of the final surviving Station in The Wasting collects a prize pot of ETH from mint fees and Station Reinforcement.
The precise value of this pool is proportional to how much ETH is collected, with a small % set aside for the
creator and Blast confirmations.
Reinforce
Increase your Stations's chances of surviving by Reinforcing it. There are four types of Reinforcement, one
for each Blast type. For each level of Reinforcement, a Settlement can survive an extra Blast of that
type. Without Reinforcement, Stations will be destroyed after a single Blast. Reinforcement costs are
added to the prize pot.
Abandon
If your nerves of steel turn to jelly, you can Abandon your Station. You forfeit your Station - it will
be destroyed but you will receive a portion of the ETH pot relative to how long your Station survived.
Trade
All Stations are ERC721-compliant NFTs on the Blast L2. At any time during the game you may buy
and sell surviving Settlements.
